Everfilts SK Series Packaged Filter System is designed for water and wastewater treatment in industrial, municipal and commercial settings where removal of suspended solids and or dissolved substances is required. SK Series filters come fully assembled and wired, and are ready for installation. The SK Series is available in carbon steel or stainless steel construction. Tanks are offered in a variety of sizes up to 6 feet wide x 8 feet high. Carbon steel systems are sandblasted and epoxy coated both internally and externally to provide maximum corrosion resistance.

Everfilt's standard media filters are constructed using heavy 3/16" carbon steel or 11 gauge 304 stainless steel. 316 stainless is available for special operating conditions.

Evervilt's heavy gauge steel assures long lasting trouble free operation. For maximum strength, Everfilt has chosen a rounded dome shape for its tank top and bottom so that filter operation will be effective even at high operating pressures or pressure differentials.

Multi-Media Filtration - Most users require one grade of silica sand to achieve the desired filtration. However, under certain operating conditions, or when dissolved substances must be removed, other types of media may be required in place of or in addition to silica sand. Everfilt offers a wide variety of media, including the following:

  • Anthracite
  • Granular activated carbon (GAC)
  • Garnet
  • Granite
  • Glass
  • Manganese greensand
  • Synthetic media for removal of arsenic, hydrocarbons, and lead

All-Steel, All-Welded Underdrain

Everfilt pioneered the design of the radial hub stainless steel under-drain and many other manufactures have since followed our lead. Everfilt's underdrain is hydraulically balanced to assure efficient collection of filtered water. The lateral collection screens are matched to the natural flow of water through the filter. It also means that during backwash, the filter bed is lifted uniformly and fully, thus achieving complete cleaning and regeneration of the media. The high strength profile wire screen in the underdrain retains medias finer than No. 20 silica sand, thus eliminating the need for filter back-up screens. The non-clogging characteristic of the screen makes it the most reliable collection system available. Everfilt is also the only manufacturer whose underdrain is all steel construction and fully welded. The added strength results in years of trouble free, reliable operation.

Heavy-Duty Backwash Valve

Everfilt's backwash valve body is made of high strength ductile iron and is coated with 3M-134 industrial grade epoxy a material known for its resistance to corrosion. All wetted surfaces are stainless steel or epoxy coated. The hydraulic design prevents valve slamming and eliminates possible damage to the valve and manifolding. Backwash valves can be ordered for manual, semi-automatic, or automatic operation. The backwash water source can either be internal to the system or from an external source (e.g., domestic water, holding tank).

Automatic Backwash Control

Everfilt designs and manufactures its own automatic backwash controls. User friendly control knobs, panel labeling and display lights make for easy use. Made of solid state electronic circuits, the automatic controls help assure effective system operation by initiating needed backwash in an efficient manner. The control can be set to trigger backwash either when a specified press differential or time interval is reached. The control is housed in a UL-listed, NEMA 4 water resistant enclosure.

The LCD display indicates when the next backwash cycle is timed to begin, the total number of backwash cycles that have been initiated since last reset, and the number of backwashes that have been triggered since last reset, and the number of backwashes that have been triggered by pressure differential. Users find this information very useful in identifying operating conditions requiring their attention.

Models are available for 4, 8, and 12 station controls. Thus, in some cases it's possible to expand an existing filter installation without the expense of changing controls.

Drop Bed Filtration

For applications where slow, deep sand filtration is required to achieve low micron filtration, high tank sidewalls up to 6 feet high are available. This can also achieve cost-effective pre-treatment of liquids where filtration below 10 microns is desired. Consult the factory for specific sizing.

Solar Power

For field conditions where electric power is unavailable or unreliable, or where it is just more cost effective, Everfilt offers a 12 volt DC solar power option. The heavy duty battery has the capacity to deliver power to the system even in overcast weather

94B Series Automatic Backwash Controls

The Everfilt line of automatic backwash controllers offer the filter system operator the advantages of fully automated filter system backwashing. Filter system automation will quickly pay for itself by providing substantial savings of labor and by also insuring optimum filter flow conditions. The 94B series backwash controllers are solid state filter backwash controls capable of operating one master valve and up to twelve backwash valves. The control will initiate a backwash cycle after reaching a predetermined time or by receiving a signal from the pressure differential switch indicating a dirty filter condition.

Lo Head Self Cleaning Screen Filter

Operation: Raw water enters the inlet chamber and is directed over the waterfall to the top of the screen. The raw water then flows down the face of the screen, separating the particulate from the cleaned water. The cleaned water penetrates the screen, enters the discharge chamber and exits through the fitting in the bottom of the discharge chamber. The particulate concentrate continues down the screen and is collected on the discharge chute.
